How to Use SuperMSConfig to Customize Windows 11 Settings

Unlike its predecessor, SuperMSConfig doesn’t display all system services, ensuring that users cannot accidentally disable critical ones, which could render the system unstable or unusable. This thoughtful design update makes it safer and more intuitive, especially for less experienced users.

SuperMSConfig is the ultimate tool for users seeking to optimize their Windows 11 experience while maintaining system stability.

  1. Visit the SuperMSConfig GitHub page and download the zip file.
  1. After downloading the zip file, extract it and you will get the SuperMSConfig.exe file. Right-click on it and select ‘Run as administrator’.
  1. If you get a pop-up saying ‘This app can’t run on this PC’, click on ‘More Info’ and then click on the ‘Run anyway’ button.
  1. Once the tool opens, you will see a dropdown menu at the bottom. Clicking on it will let you choose from various options, like Ad Experience, Personalization, Privacy, etc.
  1. After selecting an option, click on ‘Check’ and wait for SuperMSConfig to scan your system. It will then show you the results as Good Config and Bad Config.
  1. The Good Config settings are those that you do not need to change, while the Bad Config settings need to be configured. Inactive settings appear in red, while unconfigured settings appear in yellow, and configured settings show up in white. Click on the ‘Fix’ button to configure all the Bad Config settings in one click.
  1. Then click on the ‘Yes’ button in the pop-up that appears.

Note: You can also configure individual settings by clicking on the checkbox for the setting you want to change.

  1. As mentioned before, inactive configurations will appear in red. You can also turn on the configuration by clicking on the checkbox.

SuperMSConfig Plugins

  1. You can also use Plugins with SuperMSConfig by clicking on the Copilot icon at the bottom of the utility.
  1. To learn more about a plugin, click on View Info.
  1. Click on a plugin to activate it. For instance, the Clippy Companion can help you manage your system by adjusting system settings and installing recommended apps.
  1. To install an application using the Clippy Companion, type install 'application name' and select the application from the results.
