One Punch Man Season 3: Release Date, Trailer, and Information (2024)

One Punch Man Season 3 (ワンパンマン SEASON 3) is the third chronological season of the anime adaptation of the manga One Punch Man. It was officially confirmed on August 18, 2022. Season 3 will adapt chapters 85 to 138 (approximately). Indeed, the first two seasons adapted 41 and 43 chapters respectively, each consisting of 12 episodes. This means an average of three chapters are covered per episode.

It is worth noting that the One Punch Man manga has been published since 2012 in Japan. It is a seinen manga written by ONE (mangaka) and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. It is published by Shueisha in Japan. Over 26 volumes are available (listed at the end of the article).

The third season was announced a long time ago. As of now, there is still no specified release date for its broadcast. However, it is likely that the first episode will air in winter 2024. The latest official communication dates back to May 3, 2024, when a visual was revealed. This proves that the project is not canceled and that information has been shared recently. Here’s a summary of the details in this article.

The third season of One Punch Man is unlikely to be the last. However, it will focus on the character of Garoh, who is in top form. This is evident in the trailer that you can find in this article. Remember, Garoh is a true human monster known as the “hero hunter.” He was recruited by the Monster Association in the anime. He is surrounded by colorful characters who will challenge our bald protagonist, Saitama. In any case, this third season should cover all the events of the Monster Association arc.

Release Date

No release date has been announced for the third season of the One Punch Man anime. The episodes have been in production since August 2022, with the latest updates coming in early 2024. According to rumors and indications, the first episode should air at the end of 2024. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the animation studio J.C.STAFF is in charge of production, as it was for the second season.

A leaker indicated on January 5, 2024, that the production of the third season would be completed by June 2024. However, this remains to be confirmed, and this information should be taken with caution. Nothing has been announced for summer 2024, so there is a good chance that the broadcast will be pushed to fall or winter 2024.

The first trailer was revealed on February 29, 2024. These are the first official images of the sequel, produced by J.C.STAFF. The animation quality appears to be on point, and the relatively extended production time reassures us about the upcoming episodes.

Season 3 of One-Punch Man on Netflix?

Although it has not even been officially announced, many are wondering if the third season will be available for streaming on Netflix. This was the case for the first two seasons. The platform, still popular with the general public, is considered more accessible than other services (Amazon Prime Video, Crunchyroll, Disney+).

The video streaming company has not communicated anything on this subject. That said, it is plausible that the same scenario will apply again: season 1 was broadcast in 2015 in Japan, but only in 2017 on Netflix. As for season 2 of One-Punch Man, it was aired in 2019 on Japanese television and only in December 2021 on the streaming platform.
