Swizzin: A Seedbox for Ubuntu and Debian

Swizzin is a solution for Ubuntu and Debian for those who struggle for ages to install and configure a seedbox. This tool is super lightweight and modular, which allows it to work even on a Raspberry Pi!

The footprint is minimal; you only install the apps you need, and the choice is vast: from autodl to ZNC, including Deluge, rTorrent, ruTorrent, Transmission, qBittorrent, Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, Jackett, NZBGet, SABnzbd, Nginx, Let’s Encrypt, Tautulli, Rclone… etc. There’s plenty to choose from.

Installation is just a few commands to copy-paste as root, and off you go!

bash <(curl -sL s5n.sh) && . ~/.bashrc

Depending on your CPU (amd64 or arm64) and the packages chosen, your seedbox will be operational in just a few minutes. No need to be a tech wizard; as long as you know how to use SSH and read documentation, you’re all set.

The philosophy behind this project is really cool since it’s far from bloated with unnecessary features. Here, it’s all about stability, speed, and simplicity. Another big advantage: customization. Thanks to the command-line tool “box,” you can manage your seedbox easily, install and remove packages, update the system, manage users… it’s pure joy.

As you can see, this system is entirely open and customizable, and with a bit of motivation, you can add your own scripts and applications. That’s the advantage of free software!

In short, if you’re looking for a simple and efficient seedbox to download and host your “100% legal” files, go for Swizzin.
