Are you tired of the bloat that comes with a standard Windows 11 installation? Do you dream of a streamlined, resource-efficient operating system that boots faster and runs smoother? Then you’re in the right place! This guide dives into a powerful script that allows you to create your own custom, lightweight version of Windows 11, similar to the popular Tiny11, without relying on third-party tools. Prepare to reclaim control of your PC and experience Windows 11 like never before.
This script is your key to unlocking a significantly leaner Windows 11 experience. By automating the process of removing unwanted features and applications, you can create a custom ISO that boots quicker, consumes fewer resources, and offers a more focused computing environment. Best of all, it leverages the power of Microsoft’s own DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) tools, ensuring a clean and reliable process.
The core of this script is built around the oscdimg.exe executable, part of the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK). This versatile tool is responsible for constructing bootable ISO images. The script streamlines the entire process, enabling you to bypass the mandatory Microsoft account requirement during the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) phase and deploy your custom image with the /compact option for optimal space savings. The beauty of this approach is its transparency; the script is open-source, giving you the freedom to tailor it to your specific needs by adding or removing components as you see fit.
While currently designed with some limitations, namely support for specific builds and the en-us x64 version of Windows 11, these are easily overcome. You can quickly adapt the script to support other languages and architectures by simply replacing instances of “en-us” with your desired language (e.g., “fr-FR” for French) and “x64” with “arm64” for ARM-based devices. Currently, the script is compatible with Windows 11 builds 22621.525, 22621.1265, and 25300.

Getting Started: A Step-by-Step Guide
Using the script is straightforward:
- Download the Windows 11 ISO: Obtain the official Windows 11 ISO image from a trusted source.
- Mount the ISO: Right-click the ISO file in File Explorer and select “Mount.”
- Run the Script: Download the script and execute it as an administrator.
The script will then work its magic, creating your customized Windows 11 ISO. The resulting ISO file, named tiny11.iso, will be located in the same folder as the script.

What Gets the Axe? Feature Removal for a Leaner OS
The script removes a wide array of features and applications to significantly reduce the size and footprint of Windows 11. This includes the removal of:
- Clipchamp
- News
- Weather
- Xbox
- GetHelp
- GetStarted
- Office Hub
- Solitaire
- PeopleApp
- PowerAutomate
- ToDo
- Alarms
- Mail and Calendar
- Feedback Hub
- Maps
- Sound Recorder
- Your Phone
- Media Player
- QuickAssist
- Internet Explorer
- LA57 support
- OCR
- Speech support
- TTS
- Media Player Legacy
- Tablet PC Math
- Wallpapers
- Edge
- OneDrive
This targeted removal process frees up valuable system resources, leading to a faster and more responsive user experience.
Potential Drawbacks
Keep in mind that a few minor imperfections might exist. For example, even though Microsoft Edge is removed, its icon may remain on the taskbar. Also, Teams and Cortana are not removed by the script (at the time of writing), but these are minor inconveniences.
Conclusion:
This script is an excellent solution for creating a customized, lightweight Windows 11 experience without the hassle of manually removing applications and features. With a streamlined OS, you’ll experience faster boot times, improved performance, and a more focused computing environment. Embrace the power of customization and build a Windows 11 tailored to your specific needs! Ready to ditch the bloat and embrace a leaner, meaner Windows 11? Get started today!

When I boot to this tiny OS using a USB, can I perform installations to it ?
For example, can I install VLC? Stremio? Visual Studio Code ? This can be helpful even as a VM for me or using ventoy.
Many thanks in advance and thank you for this howto.
Boot ISO (no install): apps disappear after reboot.
Install Tiny11 to USB (like Windows To Go): apps persist, you can use VLC, Stremio, VS Code, etc.
VM: apps install and persist normally.
